5 Ways to Reach Your Summer Weight Loss Goals

Summertime is just around the corner. For some of us that means the dreaded shorts and swimsuit season. 

If you are like me, I couldn't stand the thought of it. So, I decided to do something about it. 


I want to share with you 5 Ways to Reach Your Summer Weight Loss Goals






1. Stop Making Excuses and Exercise

Does this sound familiar? You’re tired. You’re busy. You’re watching the kids. You’re on the road, and unfamiliar with the area. There are many excuses, but excuses do not get your where you want to go. 


Most people do not look forward to working out because it takes too long. But it doesn't have to. You can exercise for 15-20 minutes 3 times a week and see amazing results. I found Beachbody Programs and look and feel better than I have in years. 

I am sharing my secrets to weight loss success today and I want you to read Chelsea's story as well. We both hold our head high now and love to buy new clothes because of Beachbody programs!

2. Change Your Mindset

Having a positive mindset and attitude will help you face the day and conquer your workout. If you dread the workout you will never do it. If you have to make a vision board to look at when you work out, do it! I know just how motivating it can be when you see that picture of Beyonce' or that pink bikini! Pick out some great workout music. Music is fantastic motivation. 

Lay out your workout clothes and everything you need the night before and don't be late, keep the appointment. 



3. Start Eating Real Food! 

“Healthy food is too expensive!” is a complaint that Autumn Calabrese, creator of the 21 Day Fix, hears all too often. But it’s simply not true. So, Autumn decided to prove once and for all that a healthy home-cooked dinner can cost the same as fast food from McDonald’s. Let’s call it a tale of two meals.









4. Meal Planning


Eating healthy goes hand-n-hand with weight loss. It's time to make a change and Beachbody makes it so simple. Here is an example of how they help If losing weight or building muscle are your goals, it’s important to know how many calories you should eat to reach those daily calorie goals. Eating too much can prevent you from losing weight while not eating enough can actually slow down weight loss and reduce muscle mass – and nobody wants that.

The 21 Day Fix Eating Plan offers a simple system that takes calorie counting and guesswork out of the equation: once you figure out what calorie bracket you’re in with the help of the guide, you’ll be provided with a list of how many containers of each color you should eat per day to reach your goals.

If you’re at the 2,100–2,300 calorie level, you’ll be allotted 6 green (vegetables), 4 yellow (carbs), 4 purple (fruits), 6 red containers (protein), 1 blue (healthy fats), 1 orange container (seeds and dressings), and 6 teaspoons (oils and nut butters) per day.

This just looks delicious and your body will love the fuel! 




5. Support and Accountability

Let's face it, we all push ourselves and stay motivated when we have support and someone to hold us accountable. That was the most wonderful part of joining Beachbody for me. The group and coach support was phenomenal! I have not only shed pounds and am able to keep it off, my health is better than ever. Friends and family comment about my weight loss and are inquiring about how I did it. They love Beachbody as well.
