Clean Eating Crockpot (Slow Cooker) Overnight Oatmeal

Clean Eating Crockpot (Slow Cooker) Overnight Oatmeal

(Makes 4 servings)

Wouldn't you love waking up and breakfast is already finished?  Now, your oatmeal can be ready before your start making coffee in the mornings.  This is a healthy oatmeal recipe that is delicious.

In the past, I used Instant Oatmeal, now, I use Steel Cut Oats.  Steel Cut Oats are lower in calories than instant oatmeal and have no sugar.  Feel free to add your personal touch.  Let me know what you think.

Ingredients:

1 cup steel cut oats
4 cups water
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Walnuts
1/2 cup raisins or cranberries (optional)
Pure maple syrup for topping

Directions:
  1. Combine oats, water, cinnamon, and vanilla extract in a 3 quart crockpot (slow cooker)
  2. Cook for 8 hours.
  3. Stir in walnuts or raisins or cranberries and maple syrup when serving.
